A really cool place to see some Roman ruins. Theres an old port that can be seen in the picture. A small beach to enjoy the water and the rocks is a hidden gem and almost always empty if you're looking for a quiet serene place for the day. If you walk up the trails to the top of the cliffs, more Roman Villas can be found along the coastline. A really cool places to relax and be immersed in a piece of history.

I read the nice comments about this place and decided to take my family there, unfortunately the place is dirty with poor care and the are no signs explaining the area and if there are they are so old you cannot even read them. The powder area were once restructured but now they are full of garbage and undergroth. Its a pitty such a beautiful place has become the rubbish area of everyone.

Interesting sites Among the numerous points of interest, we remember: The Montagna Spaccata and the Grotta del Turco, the mausoleum of Lucio Munazio Planco, the fortifications of various eras within the Monte Orlando area (Gaeta). The archaeological museum and the villa of Emperor Tiberius in Sperlonga, together with the route of the ancient Via Flacca. The Roman cisterns, the baths, the nymphaeum known as the temple of Janus, the terraces overlooking the sea, the fishpond and the archaeological remains of the sumptuous villa from the 1st century BC. of the rich knight Mamurra in Gianola (Formia). So many things to see... it takes time and desire to walk... of what I saw, I can say a great show and quite well kept... Thank God (parts of a wonderful Italy!) 👍🏖🖐🌞 🙏😀🚗
